Background: |
gwSaar is the economic
development agency for Saarland, one of Germany's 16 states. S&A was
retained to identify opportunities in the telecommunications industry to
develop in Saarland and then to create the marketing campaign that would
generate that industry's interest in the Saarland region.

- Analysis of the
region's strength/attributes relative to multiple industries' needs.
- Recommendation
that Saarland pursue development in the call center industry.
- Strategic plan
outlining steps for Saarland to become the center of excellence in
call centers.
- Development and
comprehensive marketing program including eNewsletter, lead
generation, print collateral, targeted advertising, PR conference
sponsorship, and speaking engagements.

Results: |
The number of Saarland
call centers grew from 4 to 40, generating 5000 local jobs for
Saarlanders. Satisfied with success in call centers, gwSaar has begun
work with Sergesketter & Associates to pursue opportunities in
additional industries. |
